I introduced myself to this beautiful woolly worm in early September a few years ago; it didn’t say anything back. Blue is one of the most elusive colors in nature and I was fascinated by its vibrance. The only info I came across on the web suggested that the color of woolly worms can foretell the severity of the winter to come. Blue means that your ass will freeze off 🙂 I took this photo in the fall of 2017; it snowed early and often that winter starting with the December 8th blizzard here in Choestoe.
